The PACs vision is to create and implement an educational model that addresses the specific needs of each student in an effort to fully prepare them to lead “normalized” productive lifestyles. Lifestyles that are inclusive with complete and active participation in the vocational, social, political and economic aspects of the present and future community, nation and world.
The Progressive Achievement Center is devoted to serving the academic, social, emotional and behavioral needs of “at risk” students with special needs. We believe that without a challenge one cannot grow. To that end, we challenge students to be the best they can be while providing a supportive, nurturing environment to facilitate growth.
The administration, teachers and staff of the PAC are dedicated to ensuring that all students experience success regardless of academic, social, emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Each student is treated as though he is the only student and his needs are considered first, foremost and of primary concern. With consistent attention to detail, we believe students can’t help but show significant growth and improvement. Hence, our motto, Excellence is expected and will be pursued.
The PAC is certified as a nonpublic school by the California Department of Education and provides a standards based academic program that is supplemented with hands-on experiences designed to support students in the learning process. All teachers are credentialed and have experience working with students with special needs. Counseling as well as language and speech services are also available. Door to door transportation is available to all students.
